KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin will be attending the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Programme in Harvard University in the United States from June 12 to 15, 2022.
He was one of 12 ministers chosen to attend the globally-recognised programme, and was invited by Harvard University, organised in collaboration with Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Harvard Kennedy School.
The Health Ministry, in a statement today, said all 12 ministers who were chosen to participate were involved in the health, education and human capital portfolios.
“This programme emphasises on leadership aspects, as well as focuses on the interactive and practical partnership of participants through case study discussions and their respective experiences in human development and economic progress.
“The special invitation to the Health Minister to participate in the yearly programme is a recognition for the country, especially to the Malaysian Health Ministry.
“It is also one of the best platforms to learn and analyse the experiences of other countries that can be used as reference, as well as an opportunity for Malaysia to share successes and experiences in managing the Covid-19 pandemic.”
