PETALING JAYA: Kuala Nerus MP Khairuddin Aman Razali has maintained his silence on his sacking as PAS Syura Council secretary.
In a Facebook live stream last night, he said he was letting the party leadership decide on the matter.
“This is the first time that I am making a ‘live stream’ following the recent issues involving me and the party.
“Many have asked for my reaction and comments over what has happened.
“However, I have chosen not to give any response or comment. I am leaving everything to the party,” he said in the 14-minute-long video.
“I remain committed to the party’s struggle and will be patient. It is still not the right time for me to make any comment.”
Two days ago, Sinar Harian reported that Khairuddin had been sacked as the secretary of the Syura Council, which came a month after he was expelled from the party’s central committee.
His removal, said to be due to disciplinary issues, was confirmed by party president Abdul Hadi Awang after a meeting of the central committee on Wednesday.
“Since his appointment in the Syura Council was made by the PAS central committee, it has been revoked by the same committee.
“He is no longer the secretary of the PAS Syura Council effective yesterday (Thursday),” he was quoted as saying by the Malay daily.
Hadi said Khairuddin, who was the former plantation industries and commodities minister, remained a party member.
